Safeguarding

Tornedale Infants is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A copy of the Safeguarding policy is available on our policies page

All staff are obliged to have read and understood the latest version and at least Part 1 of the Keeping children Safe in Education  (KCSIE) document from the DfE. 

All staff will have their own photo ID badge on a lanyard, which should be worn at all times. It is the school’s policy that all visitors to the school will sign in the visitor’s book and be issued with a visitor badge and red lanyard. It is the responsibility of all staff to question any person found in the school during school hours if they are seen not wearing some form of identification.  

The designated safeguarding lead is Mrs Lisa Almunshi, Head teacher. The deputy safeguarding lead is Laura Greaves. The governor responsible for safeguarding is Ilona Sanderson.  

Concerns 

Any concerning aspects of a pupils well being or welfare will be logged on the Cpoms system.

A quick note from our mental health & wellbeing first aider Kate Wyllie
